Landscape and concrete suppliers price many materials by the cubic yard. Converting feet-and-inches measurements incorrectly is one of the most common DIY ordering mistakes.
Enter length and width in feet and depth in inches. The calculator returns cubic feet and cubic yards (divide by 27).
Use the result as a baseline, then add waste for irregular beds, settlement, and delivery rounding.

cuFt = L × W × (depthIn / 12); cuYd = cuFt / 27
One cubic yard equals 27 cubic feet. Depth must be in feet before multiplying by area.
