How PF is split

Employee PF is 12% of the wage. If you turn on the ceiling, the wage used for that 12% is capped at ₹15,000. EPS is 8.33% of the wage, and that EPS wage is never above ₹15,000. Employer EPF is the employee 12% minus the EPS share.

Some employers contribute on the full basic even when the statutory ceiling exists. Leave the ceiling off to see that case. The page does not calculate the admin charge or EDLI.
