How rupees are written in words

Number to Words (Rupees) spells the rupee amount in the Indian system: crore, lakh, thousand, then the rest. Paise are the two digits after the decimal, written separately. The line ends with “only”, which is the usual cheque wording.

Amounts are rounded to the nearest paisa for the words. A negative number or a blank value does not produce a cheque line.
